A giant fish tank in Berlin. It is part of an aquarium and extends into the hotel lobby seen below. The divers come in the morning to clean the glass. This view is from a hotel elevator.
Diners at Downtown Disney’s T-REX Café restaurant in Orlando were treated to a wet and wild dining experience when a giant fish tank sprung a leak on Monday afternoon.
While at this rarity of a hotel, I found a new favourite fish (called bert), saw a frogman, beat my Dad at cards and drank fanta. I had a great stay with a balcony over the central area although outward facing balconies with views over - or should I say under - the amazing Alexanderplatz tower were also available. The room was clean and quiet - important things in my book - and the bar was sleek and modern. The hotel was just a short walk away from a market adorned with little stereotypically German log cabins which were, to my disappointment, clearly made from plastic. Live music really gave the market a festive feel and a bar sold an array of soft drinks but only one beer. While around Berlin look out for currywürsts.
I loved them!
The hotel was blessed with a giant fish tank with a double decker lift inside. That's what persuaded me to go there!
