My SteamPunk Gear Fish stands 6-1/2" tall and measures 8" from lips to tail. He stands on a base of two more stoneware gears, has two cocked gear fins, gear eyes and a cute little kissy-gear mouth. He is weather resistant and can be used as outdoor decor. Like all my intricate pieces, I will ship him in foam packaging and starch peanuts for added protection.

Edouard Martinet is a talented French sculptor with an original affinity for transforming everyday metal junk into beautiful works of art. If there’s anything we like more than a little bit of aquatic or piscine culture, it’s steampunk fish art. The steampunk fish art of Edouard Martinet is unique in that all the pieces are assembled to fit together like a puzzle and there is no soldering used in any of them. The images of these retro-themed aquatic denizens makes them appear no bigger than a large lure but in fact they are “life-size” and carry an enormous amount of parts and detail. Although we are only featuring the steampunk fish in this post, Monsieur Martinet produces sculptures in this style of almost all creatures imaginable including birds, insects and lots of exotic looking insects. Pictures are great but we bet that these sculptures would be fascinating to see in person. However, buying prints of these sculptures is about as close as any of us will ever get to owning a piece of this steampunk art. For more information visit the .
